The boy was said to be the hottest dude in the town; cool clothes, fashionably flippy hair and that irresistable smile that made all the girls around melt he surely had what it takes.
There are no proper words to describe the girl though maybe because she was the most ordinary person that one can imagine. A little bit of this, a little bit of that, but mostly just confusedly grey, powerless, weak, nothing like everybody else, nothing like anything in the world, because not only she didnt have anything to stand out from the crowd, but she didnt have anything at all. Her eyes were dirty grey and seemingly emotionless, like the foggy air that was floating around the city all time during that season. But she adored the boy with abstruse eyes and a lovesick smile just like every other girl in the town. Yet, the boy walked to her once, because some weird passion touched his heart and resulted in the blooming of an illogical affection. His hands were shaking and his face turned rosy as he started speaking. *** The girl wanted to be pretty for the date, so she chose the most colorful clothes that she found in her mothers wardrobe. In the minute of noticing that spotted yellow dress at the back of it, she knew that was the one that she should wear. Obviously, it was a horrible, old dress but the girl found it wonderful. As her family was pretty poor, she couldnt find anything that fitted the dress, so without anything better, she decided to bring that old red reticule and finally went barefoot to the date. *** She was the first. He was the second... ...the one who was late. The one who didnt come. *** Such an ordinary story. The boy didnt come, that happens pretty much every day. But the girl was standing there for hours, and she probably still does, hoping that he would suddenly show up, saying something like my clock didnt work the bus broke down on the way or a similar, comfortingly ordinary lie. He didnt. But she was waiting for him anyway, being faithful to a love that ended before it could begin. ... credits - ~hakfest-stock & I |
